Floating text around an image
Thursday, October 23, 2008
You can float (static) text around a (static) image. For instance, you have a relatively small photo (let’s say 300px x 327px) that you want to be on the top left side and have your main text going around it. Just like on the main image. To do this put your image and the text into a one column row: Put the image on top of the text area.
Upload your image and text as usual. Then go to the Image box, click Edit and then Style. Choose Width Fixed and enter the width of your photo (in this case 300) and click Float Left. Save.
This will move your photo to the left and wrap the text around it. You don’t have to do anything with the Settings of the text area. If you want to have your photo on the right side of the page and the text floating around it choose Float Right in the Style Settings of the image. Please note that this style is only possible with static images and static texts. Posts and news articles have a fixed style to display photos and text. Would you like to comment? |
