Styling your Content Features with Padding

Monday, November 03, 2008

You can ad padding to all your content features (text areas, images, content lists, contact boxes etc.) in order to determine their exact position. Padding is space, measured in pixels, which is added to your all four sides of a feature. This is done clockwise, starting at the top, then the right side, the bottom and the left side.

This means you can choose how much space (=how many pixels) you want to have between two images, for instance, that are displayed underneath each other or to move a feature a little bit more to the left or right. You find the Padding functionality in the Style option in every content feature.

In case of the two images you have two options: You can either add padding to the bottom of the image (use the 3rd field) that is displayed on top or add padding to the top of the image (use the 1st field) that is displayed underneath.

To move a content feature to the left, add padding to the right side (2nd field), in order to move a feature to the right, add padding to the left. This will put additional space (pixels) between that side and our content.
