Enter basic settings for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Lara does a lot of SEO for you automatically, like creating a unique URL for every press release or blog post that you upload. But there are lots of things you can do on top of that to improve your site.

Go to Settings at the top of your screen. This is where details “behind the scenes” are stored rather than visible content.

The Home Page Title is what you see in the tab of your browser when you are on the homepage as well as in the search results in search engines.

The Site Description is the text that shows up in the search results.

Take your time to think about a good home page title and site description. Try to integrate the name and nature of your business or website and try to think about what people might search for. If you want your website to look serious and professional don’t overdo it, avoid CAPITAL LETTERS, they don’t look professional but rather like spam. Also, try to avoid too many “the best”, “free”, “NOW” “!!!!!!” etc. Come up with a good catchy title and a description that will capture people’s interest to read more about you. Write a list of keyword that best represent your business and website and use them throughout your site.

The Extended Page Title is added to your blog posts, press releases, articles etc. and show up in the browser tab.

This should be a short title consisting of one or two words, like the name of your business but without the catchy phrase.

Enter the list of keywords into the Site Keywords section and separate them by ,

Choose a From Email Address which will appear in people’s inbox when they receive an email that has been sent from your website.

The From Email Display Name is the name that appears in the inbox.

You have now added a lot of value to your website by writing your keywords, description texts and titles!
